What you will need:
A 1 inch curling iron- Mine is from Conair-
You aren't going to use the clamp, so a wand would also work, but I don't have one. Just don't use the clamp.
Some heat protector- I'm using the Aussie Heat Protecting Shine Spray-
And last but not least, some hairspray. You can use any one you like, pretty much all work. I actually use my dad's because I'm too lazy to get the other kind. LOL.
~So first off, spray your hair with the heat protector, and brush your hair. Heat up the curling iron while you wait for the heat protector to dry.
~ Section your hair off- 1/2 up, 1/2 down. Start off curling the bottom section.
~ Take about 1 inch sections of your hair and wrap them around the barrel, going outward. Hold for however long works for your hair type. My hair is very thick, so I hold for about 10-15 seconds. Let the curl go, and hold it in you hand for about 5 seconds, or until it cools down.
~Once you are finished with the bottom layer, let down the top half of your hair, curling with the same technique. BUT if you want the look to be more interesting, alternate by curling the hair outward, then inward.
~When you've finished, spray is with hair spray and tease the crown for a little more volume. Teasing is optional. If you want a more wavy look, finger comb through the hair until you have the desired effect.
